I have been a client of Sierra’s for 15 months and we just completed our 100th training session!
I am a 63-year-old female who was not active for at least five years prior to working out with Sierra last year. We meet twice a week for 40 minutes a session and I follow additional workouts in a program that she’s outlined for me to do on my own. I have lost over 40 pounds and the strength that I have built and the flexibility and mobility that I’ve improved has been incredible!
Sierra’s style is very personalized. We did assessments in the beginning to determine my current status against my goals. She’s done periodic assessments throughout these past 15 months to assess, allow me to reevaluate and adjust my workouts. She focuses on goals, collaborates with you by taking your input, is a great coach who knows when to push me and knows when to modify a workout based on soreness, injury or improved strength.

Near the end of March 2021, I signed on with Sierra to see if I could get some help with my weight. I had been gaining weight slowly over several years until I was at a weight that was unacceptable to me. Sierra helped me understand that I had been eating too FEW calories, so my body was thinking I was starving, and packing everything I ate into storage in fat cells. It was very hard for me to start eating as much as she wanted me to eat; at first I was so stuffed I thought I would surely gain weight. The scales didn't start moving down for a few weeks, but Sierra encouraged me to be consistent and persistent. In time, the trend began to reverse itself, and after three months with Sierra's gentle encouragement every week, I have lost 15 pounds from my highest weight.

VIRTUAL TRAINING SESSIONS
Virtual Training Sessions are exactly what they sound like. A personal training session is done over a video call ;)
You can get 1-1 training in real time! It does require that you have a smartphone but a phone tripod will be provided just to make things a little easier for the client and trainer alike! This is the perfect add-on to a workout program!

MY PASSION

Reform Coaching (formally known as Reform Nutrition Coaching) was founded in 2020 in Yakima, Washington by myself, Sierra Gerardi. My dream is to help people become the best versions of themselves!
I love sharing my enjoyment of the gym with others and helping each of my clients learn to be comfortable and confident in a gym setting. I help people move towards their goals through training, nutrition, and mindset!
In today's world it can be incredibly challenging and confusing to know what you should or shouldn’t do in the fitness space. Social media and the internet can have a lot of helpful advice but it can also steer you astray.
Working with a coach that you align with can be the first step in actually getting the results you want. Not to mention making your life so much easier by helping you understand the truth about fitness and nutrition. Before becoming a trainer and coach, I myself have struggled with knowing what to believe in the past. There are so many misconceptions out there, how do you know what is and isn’t true?
This is why I am so passionate about being a coach! I remember being a beginner. I remember what it was like to step foot in a gym for the first time. I remember feeling frustrated not knowing how to eat for my fitness goals. I want to be the person that I never had as a teen and help guilde others in their own health and fitness.
Remember that your health is a journey, your goals are a journey, life is a journey. It’s great to have ambition and goals but it’s also important to remember that it’s not all about the destination.
MEET YOUR COACH
SIERRA GERARDI
My name is Sierra and I am a PN and WAG-certified Nutrition Coach and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. My journey to health and fitness began when I started dance at the age of 11, and at age 15, I decided to take it a step further and train to be a professional ballet dancer. At age 19, I started to get an interest in CrossFit and a year later found myself getting a Crossfit L1 Trainer Certification. I love learning how the body moves and what it is capable of. Two years later, I added a Personal Trainer Certification through NASM to my skill set. It was then that I got a closer look at nutrition and the effect it can have in our lives. I became interested and wanted to learn more. That is when I started Working Against Gravity as a client and went on to become a certified nutrition coach! I was amazed by how food had such an important part to play in our everyday lives and how much mindset is such an important part of our health and fitness journey!
Now I am also an amateur athlete who has trained and experienced almost everything! I competed in a bodybuilding show in 2022, biked the trip passes in Washington state with a total of 176 miles, run a 15k Tough Mudder, backpacked through the Northern Loop in Rainer National Park, and competed in a powerlifting meet in 2024! I also love rock climbing and hiking recreational throughout every year!
